A stone’s throw from the Lincoln Park Zoo, the Conservatory boasts a rich tradition and heritage of its own. Chicagoans have been visiting here since the 1870’s to view the large variety of colorful gardens that grace the grounds. The highlights of the Conservatory are the four display houses in the main conservatory building: Palm House, Fern Room, Orchid House, and Show House. Each house offers unique arrangements and hosts the Conservatory’s annual flower shows. Looking for a fun date idea? Try picnicking at the Great Garden.
